Playing Electric Guitar Through Pa System

I m going to be working in the caribbean next month dong a loop pedal show but i m worried as i m going to be going straight into the pa system of the venue with an electric guitar.

But it is also important to know how to amplify an electric guitar without an amp. Certainly an electric guitar amp is an important thing to have. If worst comes to worst then run a line 6 pod. Running guitar straight into a pa sounds too sterile and flat it needs the tone of the amp and the speaker too in order to sounds like a guitar.

Sometimes you simply have to choose between getting a really good guitar now and waiting for an amp or spending the same money for two pieces and compromising on the quality of both. The air movement and sonic presentation that comes from an acoustic guitar are impossible yes impossible to replicate accurately through an on board pickup system amp preamp pa or anything else. Pa speakers are different to guitar speakers in that guitar speakers attenuate a lot of the higher frequencies rounding off a lot of scratchiness.
